Tale As Old As Time
4:08 PMWhen I was a little girl, I LOVED Disney princesses. Actually, "loved" is an understatement- I was OBSESSED. And to this day, as a twenty-two year old married woman, I still am. No shame!!
My mom tells me stories of how I would always want to wear my "lala dress" (Cinderella dress aka any sort of fancy occasion dress) and my "slippilers" (nice church shoes) haha! I grew up with a Disney themed Christmas tree decorated with a plethora of Disney character ornaments. Many (but never enough) Disneyland trips have been made in my lifetime, many Disney character Halloween costumes from when I was a kid hang in my old bedroom closet, along with tons of boxed up Disney Barbie dolls, and a lot of Disney Mania cd's are hidden somewhere under my old bed.
This time last year I was planning my wedding which was Cinderella fairytale-esque themed (hence my ball gown/giant cupcake-like dress and light blue/pink color scheme). Shortly after my marriage my husband and I bought a little white puppy who is named Olaf (shocker), and three months after that we made our weeklong, first time ever trip to Disney World.
So basically what I'm trying to get at is that I'm obsessed. Still.
I've ALWAYS wanted to be a princess with a beautiful dress and live in the Disneyland castle, waking up everyday to Main Street churros for breakfast and unlimited access to ride Splash Mountain over and over and over again...
Unfortunately that dream is a little too farfetched haha however, part of that wild dream came true this past weekend...
I recently have started a new, very part time job with Ever After Princess Parties- a company that provides costume characters to birthday parties, fundraisers, charity events, and more! I get to dress up as a princess and make little girls' (and mine) dreams come true!! Do you understand how happy this makes me???
Ever After Parties is Northern Utah based and travels anywhere within its range, including Idaho and even down to southern Utah!
This past weekend we all dressed up and went to the new Beauty and the Beast movie and, of course, were mauled by all the children (and moms!) to take pictures (and I was the main event so that was super awesome). It was so much fun!!
We have a lot more events coming up basically every Saturday for the next month and a half and I can't wait! More details to come!
You can follow Ever After Parties on instagram, facebook, or their website. If you or someone you know is looking for a princess to host your next celebration, contact us today! It's guaranteed to be magical!
